Build the timeline from the flight backwards
- Follow the ship’s disembarkation process and collect baggage.
- Clear Canadian customs; the Port does not publish a guaranteed completion time.
- Walk to Waterfront Station or reach the confirmed vehicle pickup point.
- Allow the actual ground journey plus disruption margin.
- YVR recommends arriving at least two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before a US or international flight. Follow your airline if it requires more.

What if your flight is later?
The Port says day baggage storage may be available at Canada Place for cruise passengers through a third party; there is no overnight storage. Check current eligibility and hours directly. If you want a short Vancouver stop before YVR, first confirm the available time, luggage plan and airport buffer—never assume a sightseeing route fits.

Is 25 minutes enough from ship to airport?
No. Twenty-five minutes is the published Canada Line journey from Waterfront Station to YVR. It excludes disembarkation, customs, baggage, walking and airport processing.
Which flight time is safe?
No static article can guarantee that. Compare the cruise line’s arrival process, YVR guidance and your airline requirements, then keep contingency time.
Can a private vehicle wait while we disembark?
Waiting and pickup rules are operator-specific. Ask for the meeting point, wait allowance, delay procedure and extra charges in writing.
